PURPOSE: To provide quality interpretation and education for visitors and residents that give them a better understanding of the role of the Borough in the Battle of Gettysburg, its aftermath, and commemoration. Visitors and residents alike will gain a better understanding and feel for life in a town caught between battle lines. |

Licensed tours include stories from diary entries, personal accounts, letters, drawings, and photographs with stories of Tillie Pierce, Henrietta Shriver, the canon known as “Penelope”, Mary Virginia Wade, Sarah Broadhead, Mary McAllister, Elizabeth Gilbert, John Burns and many, many others.
